Stephen Heiner, content creator, educator and curator of Palestine Bookshied, will be leading in a discussion.
Three years on from October 7th, many still treat it as the starting point of the story of Palestine. In fact, the conflict has a history more than a century old. Stephen Heiner, curator of the Palestine Bookshelf, spent the summer before October 7th traveling across the Middle East and Palestine: interviewing people outside the Erez crossing at Gaza, in the West Bank and in Jerusalem, researching the origins of the conflict through books, reports and dozens of films.
He joins Every Thing Goes Book Cafe as a curious human walking the planet, a spiritual person who cares deeply for all humans' rights and how what we read and see shapes our beliefs. He'll share what his research uncovered about what is at the heart of the conflict, invite Q&A, and open a dialogue that encourages people to explore the resources themselves.
Palestinian poetry and writings will be reciting through the course of the evening.
Do join us.
